Umran Green School (UGS) is a global education initiative by the Umran Green Perspective Foundation, committed to making world-class language learning accessible, community-driven, and empowering. In four years, UGS has reached learners across 52+ countries, impacting 4500+ students and teachers. Offering instruction in 10+ international languages from A1.1 to A2.2 levels, UGS awards scholarships worth more than ₹18,000 each to over 600 students annually, provides Teaching Fellowships to 40–60 graduates each year, and supports internships and administrative roles every semester. Each semester spans 14 weeks, with biweekly cultural programs enriching the learning experience.
UGS also sponsors U-Talk Magazine and Umran SLY Library, and has helped students and teachers secure Fulbright scholarships, Erasmus programs, PhD admissions, and prestigious job placements. Through education, culture, and opportunity, UGS continues to build a global community dedicated to empowerment and lifelong learning.
What is the UGS Teaching Fellowship?
The UGS Teaching Fellowship offers qualified students hands-on experience in language instruction, focusing on developing effective teaching skills through curriculum development, classroom management, and cultural immersion. This program aligns with UGS’s mission to bridge educational disparities, empower marginalized communities, and foster global citizenship through impactful community engagement and high-quality language education.

Participants will engage in various pedagogical practices, including curriculum development, language teaching methodologies, classroom management, and content delivery. The program includes four month-long fellowships featuring training sessions, three hours of weekly teaching (across two days), a biweekly cultural program, a stipend, and monthly team meetings. Through this fellowship, participants enhance their teaching skills, collaborate with experienced educators, and positively impact young learners.

Fellowship Responsibilities:
- Conduct two classes per week (preferably on weekends)
- Prepare class materials aligned with UGS syllabus
- Organize one culture program per semester
- Attend monthly teacher meetings for training and improvement
- Maintain attendance and conduct assessments
Fellowship Duration: 4 months (16 weeks), starting in March
Time Commitment: Maximum 3 hours per week

Umran Green School (UGS) is a non-profit, community-based Language Academy located in Istanbul, Turkey.
