Umran Green School of Languages
Umran introduced the Umran Green School—a voluntarily Language Academy providing instruction in over 10 international languages cost free. UGS is a rapidly-expanding, world-class online language and culture school that provides high-quality language education to marginalized and under-resourced learners. Over the past three years, this institution has welcomed more than 4000 students and teachers from over 42 countries. This language program is in tandem with a weekly and sometimes biweekly culture program, where students learn about the scope and opportunities of language acquisition through cultural events or seminars, develop presentation skills by presenting about various topics, and also showcase whether they are learning the language well or not.
The Umran Green School Language Program focuses on:
- Skill development of learners, helping them secure academic and employment opportunities in their respective fields while encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship.
- A particular focus on youth, particularly women, rural, and marginalized populations.
- Consciousness about shared societal issues relating to the environment, women’s empowerment, humanitarian aid, and international collaboration.
- UGS’s aim is not just to provide opportunities to students but to involve them in this movement to create opportunities while also accessing them.
- UGS aims to promote a sense of collectiveness and community among its students and volunteers. Therefore, UGS offers the UGS Scholarship and Fellowship Programs, as well as various subsidized courses, covering tuition fees, course materials, personality development training, and certificate costs.
- UGS has awarded certificates and recommendation letters to its volunteers and students, many of whom have received prestigious opportunities such as Fulbright scholarships, leadership programs, and further studies in the US, Turkey, and Germany.
- UGS wants to gradually advance this opportunity, which will benefit many students, especially girls who wish to travel abroad to study languages or other courses.
- Language Program:
- Offers courses in English, French, German, Turkish, Arabic, and Hindi from beginner (A1.1) to advanced (B2.2) levels.
- Curriculum based on Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
- Course duration: 6 months (120 hours), 3 months (60 hours),
- Classes are held online with experienced and qualified teachers.
- Provides course materials and certificates upon completion.
- UGS Scholarship and Fellowship Programs:
- Covers tuition fees, course materials, personality development training, and certificate costs.
- Available to underprivileged, marginalized, and rural students who are unable to afford the course fees.
- Includes the UGS Youth Leadership Fellowship program for outstanding students who are interested in making a positive impact in their communities.
- Cultural Exchange Program:
- Provides opportunities for learners to interact with native speakers, explore various cultures, and practice language skills.
- Includes language and culture immersion trips to countries such as Turkey and India.
- Volunteer Program:
- Invites volunteers from around the world to join the movement of providing language education opportunities to marginalized communities.

Policy ( Read more):
To qualify for the certificate, a minimum attendance rate of 75% is mandatory for class attendance and culture program attendance. This criterion applies even if the student has performed exceptionally well in midterms, finals, and quizzes. Please ensure compliance with this attendance policy to secure your certificate.
We understand concerns about attendance and its impact on performance. We give students opportunities in the following ways:
- A fine of ₹850 will be applied to students failing due to attendance issues. For this, the student must have at least 50% of the classes. Otherwise, they will not qualify to take this chance.
- If a student fails for reasons unrelated to attendance, such as due to lower scores in exams, they will receive an additional chance to pass the exam without incurring any charges. After these attempts, a fee of ₹500 will be levied for each reexamination.
- Students are free to repeat the level if they fail the course, but will not be promoted to the next level.
There is no fee for the course or registration. However, in order to support the operational expenses of Umran Language Academy, students have the option to contribute a donation of any amount they are able to provide. Below, we provide a suggested donation range as a reference to contribute towards sustaining Umran Language Academy.
